SOUNDHOUSE RECORDS was formed in 2007 by TANK/KILLERS guitarist CLIFF 'The Riff' EVANS. We specialize in British rock/metal from the 80's/90's and our aim is to make available to you some of those hard to find classic recordings from that era at reasonable prices. We will also be showcasing some new artists who we think deserve to be listened to. We have rare CD's and some great merchandise on sale in our online *shop.*
30th ANNIVERSARY NWOBHM --------------------------------- As you know it is the 30th Anniversary of the NWOBHM with 1980 being thebig year when it all kicked off proper with first albums by Def Leppard,Iron Maiden, Saxon and the Tygers of Pan Tang. To celebrate the anniversary Jess Cox (the original vocalist with Tygers of Pan Tang) is puttingtogether TWENTY NWOBHM concerts in London over 2010. These willbe held on 20 weekends at THE PERSEVERANCE PUB in MARYLEBONE. Although thepub holds 150+ there will only be 60 tickets available for each concert. However, the whole bar over two levels will be taken over by the event withfamous Metal DJ Krusher covering the death decks. There will also be stalls, special guests and the place will be decked out in memorabilia from the time. All events will be plugged/reviewed and generally supported by Classic Rock Magazine, Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, Total Rock Radio and Planet Rock Radio who have all promised reviews and interviews so there will be plenty of exposure for the bands. Also we will be contacting HM worldwide press,radio and websites generating exposure from abroad. With the exclusivity ofthese intimate concerts we will expect fans to fly in from Europe and further for the gigs. Tickets will be available from our websites and Ticket Master making it easy for fans to get tickets worldwide. It is thirty years ago since you got up on stage when you were young andwanting to take on the world. The NWOBHM was a movement YOU are part of and should be proud of. It is still held in great esteem around the world so lets celebrate it in 2010 in it's home in the UK's Capital, London. Jess Cox Tygers of Pan Tang TANK are heading into the studio next week to start work on their 7th studio album. The band have been playing the European festivals throughout the summer and are now ready to record what promises to be a real classic British rock album. TANK PRESS RELEASE Take cover TANK are back in action! The legendary British power metal mercenaries have re-grouped and are ready for battle once more. The release of the ‘DOGS OF WAR’ boxed set earlier this year was a great success which led to the inevitable re-release of the entire back catalogue (Metal Mind records). This has proved very popular with the die hard fans of old and helped to amass a new army of young fans worldwide. TANK are now very much in demand on the live front after being absent from the touring circuit for several years. With a distinctive attitude and energy to our trademark sound, TANK now have a new all-star lineup, fully equipped to crush everything in their path. Unfortunately original vocalist/bassist ALGY WARD has decided to retire from active service and concentrate his efforts on writing his long awaited autobiography covering his career with THE DAMNED,THE SAINTS and TANK. We will miss him fighting alongside us and wish him all the best. THE WAR DRAGS EVER ON! Joining MICK TUCKER and CLIFF EVANS on guitars will be original TANK drummer MARK BRABBS. A very welcome return for the powerhouse skinsman. Two new recruits will now be joining the ranks. Ex RITCHIE BLACKMORE’S RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman, DOOGIE WHITE, will be taking care of all vocal duties and ex BRUCE DICKINSON band bass player, CHRIS DALE, completes the lineup. This new lineup will prove to be a major force to be reckoned with and will add a new dimension to the unmistakable TANK sound, driving them forward, unstoppable into 2009.
